MEET CHEF ADAM

Meet New Hamburg's
Chef Adam Brenner

Chef Adam Brenner is classically trained in French cuisine with over 10 years of experience in 4 star hotels and has 4 years of experience as Head Chef. He returned to Kitchener-Waterloo to work at The Waterlot restaurant in New Hamburg, until its closure in early 2016. In 2018, Chef Brenner had his grand opening of The Garden Stand, a speciality food store. He also operates his own catering business, specializing in private in-home dinner parties, weddings and take away menus for special occasions.

Over the years, Chef Adam has worked at the Rocky Mountain Resort in Banff, Alberta, Tait Maison in Shediac, New Brunswick, Bras d’Or Lakes Inn in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, and Langdon Hall in Cambridge, Ontario. Chef Adam has infused his experience out East into his meals and specializes in seafood.

Always passionate about food and looking for new challenges, Chef Adam began growing vegetables and flowers at his grandparents’ farm near Wellesley, Ontario. His no spray flowers, fresh produce, and the salsas, relishes and pickles he creates continue to be a hit at local farmer’s markets.

In the summertime, Chef Adam is a season vendor at local farmers markets, including The Wilmot Summer Market and Wellesley's Farmer's Market.

He is a graduate of the prestigious Stratford Chef's School and is Red Seal certified. Adam credits part of his hard work ethic to having played hockey growing up. He was awarded the “Digger Award”, which is given to the hardest working player on the team. Chef Adam also thanks his father who had him and his older brother constantly working during their childhood to renovate their family home.
